Read the terms for the exact model
Open the manufacturer's US warranty or model documentation. Look for an explicit statement covering burn-in, its duration, and any exclusions or care requirements. Retain your receipt and check whether registration is required.
If burn-in coverage is marked unconfirmed, check the warranty for that model before buying. A general warranty may still apply.
Care features are a separate check
Pixel refresh, screen shifting and static-content dimming are panel care features. Their presence does not prove that damage is covered by warranty, and a warranty does not mean the panel cannot develop permanent retention.
Follow the model's manual for standby, automatic maintenance and manual cleaning cycles. Do not copy a maintenance schedule from a different brand or generation.
Check the seller and condition
New, refurbished and used offers can have different terms. Confirm who handles a claim, what shipping costs apply and whether the seller is authorized. Check the return policy separately from the manufacturer's warranty.
